Bipasha also did an independent international film that is yet to see the light of the day, “I did an independent film that got stuck in the making. It is called The Lovers. It is one of the finest films that I have ever done. Roland Joffe is the director and I star opposite Josh Hartnett. It is a beautiful film. It’s an 18th century period love story. It is set in two time zones and I play a warrior. It is my best work till date and I am looking forward to that being released. It was called Singularity earlier and now it is called The Lovers because it is about two lovers.”

Bipasha: Looking good all about health, happiness

Actress Bipasha Basu has been appreciated for her looks in her first Hollywood venture "The Lovers". And she believes “looking good” is all about health and happiness.

In her first Hollywood venture, the actress sports a no make-up look as Maratha warrior Tulaja Naik. Roland Joffe has directed the time travel romantic adventure saga, which was earlier titled "Singularity".

Excerpts:

Q: What about the film that you did with Roland Joffe?

A: It's called "The Lovers" now. It's will be coming in a few months. I am really looking forward to it. It's one of my most challenging roles in recent times. People tell me I look my best in “The Lovers”. I am advised to do the no make-up look more often.

Долгострой Джоша Хартнетта (Итан Чендлер в сериале «Ужасы по дешевке») «Любовники» («The Lovers / aka Singularity») наконец-то обрел окончательную дату релиза — 12 марта 2015г! В сервисе VOD (видео по запросу) ленту можно будет посмотреть уже с 13 февраля.

Режиссер фильма — британец Ролан Жоффе, многократный номинат премии Оскар, обладатель Золотой Пальмовой ветви Каннского кинофестиваля.

Josh Hartnett is really back, for real this time, with The Lovers

Let’s throw it back for a moment, guys. Like most of you did (…right?), I grew up with a Josh Hartnett shrine in my bedroom. Before the days of Photoshop or Kinkos, I would painstakingly cut pictures of Josh out of magazines, arrange them just so, paste them onto a giant poster board, then stand and weep at the art I’d just created, and the art that God had created in Josh Hartnett. This was before the Internet of today that we know and hate—I couldn’t keep Google-alert tabs on Josh like a good Millennial stalker might, so I’d ask my mom’s friend, who lived in his hometown of Minneapolis, to send me regular news clippings about him. I always knew what he was up to, where he was living, which bitch with a death wish he was dating, and that I could convince him to marry me, even though I was a psychotic 13-year-old with braces and way too much free time on her hands.

I’d like to pretend I’ve grown since then, but at heart I’m still just a creepy stalker, just a girl standing in front of a homemade Josh Hartnett poster, asking it to love her. So when, around the mid-to-late-aughts, Josh suddenly and dramatically disappeared from movies and, subsequently, our life together, I was devastated. (He’s since explained his absence, and I’m slowly starting to forgive him.)

The good news is that, after returning to the small screen with Showtime’s Penny Dreadful, Josh is ready to return to Hollywood. The bad news is that he’s returning to Hollywood with The Lovers, which, apparently, has already been through at least one title change (from Singularity), been delayed several years, been partially re-cast and re-shot, and, if this trailer is any indication, is mawkish and insane. Hartnett plays a marine explorer who falls into a coma after a submarine accident (?), travels back in time to 1700s India, turns British (?), falls in love with another woman even though he’s married back in the future, and then has to choose between temporal and physical locations. Also, there’s a ring involved—made of two rings—that may have time-traveling and/or life-saving powers. You know what, it’s all fine. Let’s enjoy this trailer together:
