London, Jan 31(ANI): Actor Josh Hartnett claims he's not interested in being part of Hollywood blockbusters that make actors "big matinee name" overnight, but instead prefers the kind of movies that he hopes people will love in years to come.
The Black Dahlia hunk feels that such films put actors on the fast track to achieving success, making money and impressing women, but rob them of their chances to be remembered for giving meaty performances.
"At the start of my career I was doing more interesting films like O and The Virgin Suicides and then I kind of got thrown into the mix. Hollywood does this to actors, it puts them on a fast track to becoming a big matinee name," The Sun quoted him, as saying.
"Some actors go along for the ride to make a lot of money and meet a lot of girls, but that's never been my focus. I'm interested in the characters and in being part of films that stand the test of time," he added.
Josh was in London to help launch Global Cool, a movement to reverse the effects of climate change over the next 10 years. He has just finished filming 30 Days Of Night - which is based on a graphic novel.(ANI)
