Minneapolis Film, “Stuck Between Stations” to Begin Production October 2, 2009

Minneapolis Native Sam Rosen, Indie Favorite Zoe Lister Jones to star, Josh Hartnett, Michael Imperioli to lend support for unlikely love story
Principal photography of the film Stuck Between Stations, directed by Minnesotan Brady Kiernan, will begin October 2, 2009, producers RKB Pictures announced today. The bulk of shooting for the film, a story about one night in the life of an unconventional romantic duo, will be conducted on location in the Twin Cities.

The script for Stuck Between Stations was co-written by Minneapolis native Nat Bennett and male lead Sam Rosen (Casper). Independent film veteran Zoe Lister Jones (Rebecca) plays the female lead. The supporting cast includes Josh Hartnett (Black Hawk Down, Sin City) and Michael Imperioli (The Sopranos, Life on Mars).

Stuck Between Stations tells a coming-of-age/came-and-went story about Casper, a soldier haunted by the horrors of war, and Rebecca, a whip-smart grad student with a shaky future. A decade after they graduated from high school and went their separate ways, they reunite by chance and get to know each other over the course of an accidental tour of the little-known underbelly of Minneapolis. The evening’s odyssey includes a bar fight, a house party, a punk-rock circus, a spontaneous burglary, a home Casper didn’t know he had, and a cast of strange characters, unexpected allies and disappointing friends.

Пятница - большой день для актера из Миннеаполиса Сэма Розена. Он появится на больших экранах в фильме "Никто", снятом в его родном городе. Кроме того, он начнет сниматься в драме "Между станциями" (“Stuck Between Stations”), сценарий к которому написал вместе с еще одним уроженцем Миннеаполиса, Нэтом Беннетом.

Розен сыграет главную роль вместе со старлеткой Зое Листер Джонс (“Breaking Upwards,” “Arranged”). В ролях второго плана выступят Джош Хартнетт, с которым Сэма Розена связывает дружба еще со школы, а также Майкл Империоли (племянник Тони в сериале "Клан Сопрано").

Спустя десять лет после окончания средней школы, судьба неожиданно снова сводит их вместе в случайном туре по неизведанным уголкам Миннеаполиса. Вечерняя одиссея включает драку в баре, вечеринку в доме, цирк в стиле панк-рок, неожиданную кражу, дом, о владении которым Каспер и не подозревал, и набор странных персонажей, неожиданных союзников и неблагонадежных друзей.

Розен, Хартнетт и Кирнан вместе работали над фильмом "Никто", где Розен сыграл главную роль, Хартнетт выступил продюсером а Кирнан - оператором.

I am so honored to have had the opportunity to work with RKB Pictures & be apart of this film. This was a really cool group of guys & I have a huge level of respect for their work ethic and professionalism. These photos of us were taken at 6 in the morning, after being on the set since 2 o’clock pm the day before but that’s the biz and I LOVE IT!!! Thank you guys I had a blast! Look for this film scheduled to be released in 2011.

RKB Pictures, LLC was founded by star/writer Sam Rosen, director/producer Brady Kiernan and writer Nat Bennett. The company was formed in Minnesota during August, 2009 to produce Stuck Between Stations.

Minneapolis Director Talks Hold Steady-Inspired Movie Stuck Between Stations
Minneapolis is hardly a hub of cinematic activity. Smack in the middle of the “fly over zone” between New York and L.A., it’s attracted the occasional big film (A Serious Man was filmed there, as was Fargo) but “none of them were homegrown or really interested in telling the stories I want to see,” says Brady Kiernan, a Twin Cities native and director of the upcoming film Stuck Between Stations. He and writers Sam Rosen and Nat Bennett are seeking to remedy that problem with this film, which follows its main characters on “an accidental tour of the little-known underbelly of Minneapolis.”

Fans of Minneapolis rockers The Hold Steady will recognize the movie’s title as a nod to the opening track of the band’s Boys and Girls in America LP (Paste‘s #11 album of the decade). “The title is mostly a reference to the spirit of the song,” Kiernan tells Paste. "This film is about those nights that we’ve all had where you meet someone, spend the whole night with them and start to maybe fall in love." Kiernan is currently in negotiations with the band to provide music for the film.

A soundtrack from the critical darlings would be just another coup for the flick, which has attracted on-screen talents Josh Hartnett, Breaking Upwards’ Zoe Lister Jones and Michael Imperioli of The Sopranos. Writers Rosen and Bennett had prior relationships with Hartnett and Lister Jones, but their singular script was the fulcrum of their film’s appeal to both director Kiernan and to the actors.

A coming-of-age story for modern-day middle America, Stuck Between Stations sees Casper, a troubled veteran, and Rebecca, a grad student unsure about her future, haphazardly reunited in their hometown of Minneapolis a decade after their high school graduation. Thrust together by forces greater than themselves, they experience a whirlwind of strange events including a punk-rock circus and a spontaneous burglary, staged against Twin Cities landmarks such as Loring Park and legendary venue 1st Avenue. (Sounds like a song by The Hold Steady, no?) Filming will wrap this fall, after which the creators will shop Stuck Between Stations around at film festivals such as Sundance and Toronto, seeking distribution.

“There has yet to be a breakout indie success that puts our city on the map,” Kiernan says. “Maybe that’s us, maybe it isn’t, but we love this city.” Hometown pride aside, “our story is still about two people and their lives. We just can’t think of a better place to fall in love than Minneapolis.”

IFP has announced the 10 projects selected for participation in this year’s narrative edition of their Independent Filmmaker Labs. Presented by IFP, the labs make up a highly immersive free mentorship program for low-budget (under $1,000,000) first feature films which have shot all or a substantial amount of footage for their features but have not completed post-production. The Narrative Lab is taking place June 7-11 in New York City.

Casper, a soldier who experienced the horrors of war, fell in love with Rebecca, a once-promising grad student who just killed her career. Althought they have known each other since elementary school, the two soon reconnect. They spend a night in the underbelly of Minneapolis talk through their hopes and dreams, and maybe becoming closer to one another.

Как я угадала))) Я ведь из принципа, не вдаюсь в подробности фильма  да простят меня все за это...    
А тут, только глянула ролик, сразу подумала, что в фильме роль у Джоша отрицательная. ОН талантливый актер, какие ещё нужны доказательства?  [взломанный сайт]
