Josh Hartnett in village night-time shoot

HOLLYWOOD star Josh Hartnett paid a flying visit to Heath and Reach last week when he spent three nights battling bandits and the elements.

The village’s Bryant’s Lane Quarry was once again being used for location shooting only the weather tried hard to spoil the illusion that the quarry wilderness was actually steaming India.

The film crew was shooting final scenes for the $27m historical action adventure film, Singularity, which stars the Black Hawk Down and Pearl Harbor actor.

Location manager, Charlie Somers, told the LBO: “Filming went very well at the quarry despite the dreadful weather conditions. The main unit managed to avoid most of the rain, but unfortunately the second unit had a pretty miserable time on the final night due to the high winds. However, through the trying conditions they managed to battle on and all the scenes were completed.

“As a filming location, we couldn’t have picked a better site. The chaps at the quarry are film friendly, incredibly helpful and worked tirelessly to make sure everything went smoothly.

“I am happy to report we did not receive any noise complaints from local residents, so from my point of view it all worked very well.

“Josh Hartnett was involved in the scenes we filmed along with 25 extras, although the demands of the schedule meant that he was unable to take time out to visit the area.”

Ночные съемки фильма «Диковина»

Голливудская звезда Джош Хартнетт посетил на прошлой неделе городок Heath and Reach, где провел три дня, участвуя в съемках сражений.

Карьер Bryant’s Lane  был снова использован в качестве съемочной площадки, только погода усердно пыталась разрушить иллюзию того, что пустынный карьер действительно находится в Индии.

Съемочная группа снимала финальные сцены исторического приключенческого фильма «Диковина» с бюджетом 27 миллионов долларов и звездой фильмов «Черный Ястреб» и «Перл-Харбор».

Менеджер натуральных съемок Чарли Самерс (Charlie Somers) сказал LBO: «Съемки в карьере прошли просто отлично, несмотря на ужасные погодные условия. При съемках главного блока нам удалось избежать большинства дождей, но, к сожалению, съемки второго блока оказались весьма проблематичными из-за сильного ветра ночью. Тем не менее, не смотря на тяжелые условия, все сцены битв были завершены.

«В качестве места съемок, мы не смогли бы найти ничего лучше. Парни, работающие в карьере, оказались дружными, невероятно полезными и без устали трудились, чтобы быть уверенными, что все пройдет гладко.

«Я рад сообщить, что мы не получили никаких жалоб на шум от местных жителей, так что с моей точки зрения все сработало очень хорошо.

«Сцены, в которые был вовлечен Джош Хартнетт, снимали вместе с двадцати пятью статистами и требования графика были таковы, что не позволяли ему взять перерыв просто посмотреть окрестности.»

За такое фото разве можно ругать? Джош с Бипашей очень хорошо смотрятся вместе, и удивительно гармонично. Может быть, потому, что их связывают дружеские( может и больше))) отношения, их симпатию друг к другу невозможно не заметить.   

And, what's the delay on Josh Hartnett-starrer Singularity? "We are still in the dubbing stage, but I guess the makers are planning a big studio release sometime in January."

Это слова Бипаши, релиз на январь это здорово, может быть, не прийдется ждать фильм да осени 2013

Singularity creditors still waiting for payment

Australian creditors of the trouble-plagued Singularity feature remain unpaid some three months after a final stint of filming was completed in the UK.

The company behind the $28 million Australian-UK co-production was placed into liquidation late last year. Creditors are still owed approximately $1.5-$1.6 million but remain dismayed that an assessment of claims by administrator, Worrells Solvency & Forensic Accountants, has dragged on since June.

“A couple of months ago there was some optimism,” one creditor said, “but I have heard nothing since that time.”

Contrarian Tax Unit’s Brett Thornquest, who is assisting the administrators, said the next meeting would hopefully be held in October, at which point a repayment proposal would likely be put to creditors for approval. “I think they’re pretty close,” he said.

Singularity follows marine biologist Jay Fennel (Josh Hartnett) who undertakes a near-fatal dive to save his wife (originally set to be played by Neve Campbell, who pulled out before filming began) while exploring an 18th century merchant ship wreckage.

He then envisions India in 1778 where British captain James Stewart (also played by Hartnett) is about to embark on a dangerous mission while falling in love with a beautiful palace guard (Bipasha Basu).
