На Kinopoisk.ru и Imdb.com появилась дата российской премьеры фильма "Диковина"- 31 октября 2013г.!    Что удивительно- мы единственные, пока, с точной датой релиза. Похоже, Роланд Жоффе, по старой дружбе, сам будет представлять фильм в России. И, сердцем чую, что Джоша он в Москву привезет! 

На месте Роланда я бы обязательно Джоша привезла. И Бипашу тоже. И Джош ещё ни разу в России не был, уговорить его не составит труда, думаю. А фильм раскрутить это поможет, и поклонникам Джоша подарок будет. 

До 31 октября можно тааакую развернуть рекламную кампанию для "Диковины" !

Dirk Brossé Scoring Roland Joffé’s ‘Singularity’
Dirk Brossé is composing the score for the upcoming romantic adventure Singularity. The film is directed by Roland Joffé (The Mission, The Killing Fields) and stars Josh Hartnett, Tamsin Egerton, Bipasha Basu and Abhay Deol. The movie follows a marine archaeologist who is left brain dead after a dangerous dive to save his wife while exploring an 18th century merchant ship wreckage. Joffé has also written the screenplay based on a story by Ajey Jhankar. Paul Breuls & Catherine Vandeleene (The Devil’s Double) are producing the Corsan production with Guy J. Louthan (The Bounty Hunter) and Dale G. Bradley. Brossé who is also known as a conductor and serves as the music director of the Ghent Film Festival has previously scored last year’s BBC/HBO mini-series Parade’s End starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Rebecca Hall. Singularity is currently in post-production and is expected to be released later this year.

Breuls confirmed that Corsan has finally completed its very long-gestating Roland Joffe epic Singularity and aims to launch the film at an autumn festival.

“It’s in the can,” Breuls said of the film, a drama streching from the Great Barrier Reef in 2010 to India in the eighteenth century.

The new poster of Bipasha Basu’s first Hollywood film Singularity is out, and it features not only her picture, but mentions her name too.

Also seen on the poster are Hollywood actors Josh Hartnett and Tamsin Egerton. Directed by Roland Joffé, the film is about the first Anglo-Maratha war and Bips plays a Marathi warrior named Tulaja Naik in it.

Singularity is an epic romance time travel adventure film. I almost got dropped from Singularity: Bipasha Basu
Bipasha Basu, who is making her Hollywood debut with Singularity, says she almost got dropped from the project because of her hectic Bollywood schedule which left her with little time to prepare for the period drama.

"Bollywood actors work a lot. I remember I could not fit my dates for Singularity. Roland Joffe (director) wanted me to train for a month and I could get only a week. There was a time when Roland would have dropped me because I was not giving enough time for the preparations," Bipasha told PTI.

A new poster for the troubled UK-Australian co-production Singularity has been released although the Australian-shot footage is still being withheld until local crew are paid.

The $28 million production, which was shot in Australia (Queensland), India and the UK, still owes an estimated $1.5 million to Australian creditors, who hold little hope of ever seeing their money. It has been more than 18 months since Worrells Solvency & Forensic Accountants was appointed to oversee the company behind Singularity.

The new poster features Josh Hartnett, Bipasha Basu and Tamsin Egerton (who is understood to have replaced Neve Campbell in the cast). Business of Cinema, which published the poster, claims that the film will be released later this year, however that is unlikely.

I spoke to one creditor this morning who said they have not been paid. I’ve also sent emails to Brett Thornquest, who has been assisting Worrells, and Paul Breuls, the film’s Belgian producer.

The film marked the ‘Hollywood’ debut of Bollywood star Bipasha Basu, who regularly tweeted about the film but has not done so since June 2012. Tamsin Egerton last mentioned the film on Twitter in December 2012, when she said it would be released in the summer of 2013. The film was directed by the Oscar-nominated Roland Joffé.

Singularity follows marine biologist Jay Fennel (Hartnett) who undertakes a near-fatal dive to save his wife while exploring an 18th century merchant ship wreckage.

В трех словах- 1,5 млн. так и не нашли, с кредиторами  и командой не рассчитались, маловероятно, что фильм выйдет в этом году.

  Вижу, Канны 2013 тебе не понравились. Все страньше и страньше с каждым годом. В 2013- в награжденных- ни одного, за кого бы порадовалась. Видно, старею.

Два года ждали, подождем ещё. Вон, экранная парочка не дождалась, начала промить фильм самостоятельно 

На странице фильма "Диковина" имя актрисы Элис Энглерт стоит второй строкой, кто такая Долли, остается догадываться. На её сайте фильм в числе проектов, готовящихся к выпуску в этом году. Путешествия во времени вприключенческом фильме "Singularity" в главной роли Джош Хартнетт в настоящее время в стадии пост-продакшн.

The Philip K. Dick European Science Fiction Film Festival

The Philip K. Dick European Science Fiction Film Festival has announced the earliest submissions of films and shorts to be screened at its first international event which will honor one of the most respected writers within the literary world. The three-day experience will mark the first of many worldwide gatherings in the beautiful and historic Lille, France from October 25-27, 2013 at the famous L'Hybride Cinema venue. The films which are adapted or inspired from the works of Philip K. Dick will entertain and enthrall the innumerable fans who have continued to honor his enduring legacy within the genre of science-fiction.

The festival will launch with the highly anticipated screening of Radio Free Albemuth (2010) on Friday, October 25. Written and directed by John Alan Simon the film adaptation of Dick's final novel stars Jonathan Scarfe ("Perception"), Shea Whigham ("Boardwalk Empire"), Katheryn Winnick ("Bones") and Grammy Award-winning singer Alanis Morissette. A Q&A session with Simon is also scheduled to follow. The evening will continue its science fiction theme with the shorts Exit (2013), L'Esplanade (2012) and Meddlers (2011) which was adapted from Dick's short story. The night will also host a screening of Roland Joffé's upcoming action-adventure film Singularity (2013) starring Josh Hartnett ("Black Hawk Down," "30 Days of Night") and Alice Englert ("Beautiful Creatures") which is set for release in the fall. The following night on Saturday, October 26 takes on a horror supernatural theme with Thanatomorphose (2012). Written and directed by Éric Falardeau the film stars Émile Beaudry, Eryka Cantieri and Roch-Denis Gagnon. On Sunday, October 27 the event concludes with science fiction works including Daniel Abella's The Final Equation (2009), a highly conceived film inspired by Dick's artistic genius and stars Robert Harriell, Cassandra Cooke and Paul Weissman. A Q&A session with Abella is also scheduled to follow. The night will commence with sci-fi shorts Dissent (2011), Un Monde Meilleur (2013) and Years in Bardo (2012).

The festival will screen all films with French subtitles and is currently accepting submissions into late September in science fiction and horror features and shorts. Admission at L'Hybride Cinema is currently by membership only and by purchasing tickets with five euros for one month or 30 euros for one year of the program. If not part of membership visitors can pay five euros on the first day of the festival to attend the three-day event and receive a pass for the next 30 days of subsequent venue events. Doors open at 7pm on Friday and Saturday and 6pm on Sunday.

As further details become available the festival anticipates a successful event in its first global outing. The first New York City festival saw record crowds of over 1,000 participants for the exclusive screening of Radio Free Albemuth which was based on Dick's 1985 novel posthumously published three years after his death. The weekend-long festival also held numerous film screenings and panels with Simon, esteemed professors Ronald Mallet and Enrique Ricardo Miranda, distinguished writers Angela Posada-Swafford, Walter Mosley and Dennis Paoli and science fiction experts Richard Dolan and Peter Robbins. The team behind the annual festivities will also pioneer its second annual Brooklyn event in December 2013 for a record five-day gathering and a Spring 2014 cyberpunk festival in Tokyo.
The Philip K. Dick European Festival of Science Fiction, Science, The Fantastic, Horror and The Supernatural will delight its attendees with its entertaining and visually captivating themes which have made the event a favorable and continued success. The event will take place at L'Hybride Cinema at 18 Rue Gosselet 59000 in Lille, France from October 25-27, 2013.
