Post Malone goes guns blazing during intense shoot out with Josh Hartnett and Jason Statham on set of their new action-packed film Cash Truck

Post Malone is trading in his microphone for a handgun.

The rapper was spotted on set of his new movie Cash Truck on Tuesday afternoon getting into character as a criminal.

During his time on set Post, whose real name is Austin Richard Post, 24, was photographed filming an intense shootout during a scene with his costars Jason Statham, 52, and Josh Hartnett, 41 who play armed truck drivers.

Their brawl comes after it was recently announced that the three would be starring in the latest Guy Ritchie film.

At first look, it appeared that Post Malone was set to be one of the bad guys who try to rob the truck.

He was spotted wearing a black beanie and a black and white button up longsleeve.

The Better Now singer also wore a pair of jeans and a pair of black gloves as he aimed his handgun.

The songwriter appeared to get heavy into character as he was pictured dipping and diving during his moment to shine.

At one point, he was seen hiding behind a construction palette as the truck drivers tried to defend themselves.

In between takes, Post appeared to enjoy his time with the cast as he sipped on a coffee and lit up a cigarette.

Meanwhile, Jason appeared to show he has no fear as he confidently pointed his gun.

For his day on set he was protected in an armed all-black uniform complete with a bulletproof vest. There was a eagle patch on one of the sleeves of his black button- up.

Josh wore a similar uniform but was able to don a short sleeve style for his time on camera.

It was announced back in November by Variety that MGM had cut a major deal for the film at the American Film Market.

Other big names such as Scott Eastwood, Holt McCallany, Jeffrey Donovan, and Laz Alonso are also set to appear in Cash Truck.

The film is a remake of the French movie Le Convoyeur which originally starred Jean Dujardin and Albert Dupontel.

This isn't Post Malone's first film rodeo either. His debut role will be in Wonderland, which is currently in post production.

The Mark Wahlberg film comes with an all-star cast of its own and set to star Alan Arkin, Iliza Shlesinger, Bookem Woodbine, Hope Wilson, James DuMont, and Winston Duke.

Wonderland is being adapted from the novel by Robert B. Parker and follows the story of Spenser who aims to find the truth about a murder and the rumors behind it all.

Джейсон Стэйтем сыграет главного героя по имени Хилл, который на первый взгляд представляет собой уравновешенного британского джентльмена. Однако на самом деле внутри него пылает жажда правосудия. Преследуя свои мотивы, герой намерен найти заказчика серии многомиллионных ограблений, потрясшие Лос-Анджелес. В этой запутанной игре у каждого своя роль, но виновные обязательно узнают гнев человеческий.

Гай Ричи предложил Джошу Хартнетту сняться в «Гневе человеческом» без роли

Жёсткий экшен-триллер Гая Ричи «Гнев человеческий» продолжает доказывать свою состоятельность в прокате по обе стороны Атлантики. Фильм уже собрал более 700 млн рублей в российских кинотеатрах, успел возглавить бокс-офис США и обзавестись положительными отзывами прессы и зрителей: на «Томатах» у картины 65% одобрения от критиков и 91% — от зрителей. Ричи продолжает радовать поклонников, не изменяя себе, — об этом в свежем интервью поведал участник внушительного каста «Гнева» Джош Хартнетт.

Оказывается, актёр попал в фильм случайно — под влиянием момента. Из проекта выбыл кто-то из актёров, и Ричи связался с Хартнеттом, о чём последний рассказал в интервью порталу Cinema Blend.

Весь мой опыт работы в фильме был чисто в стиле Ричи, потому что моего героя по сути не было в сценарии.

В тексте значился персонаж по имени Мелкий Дэйв, но он был едва прописан и присутствовал всего в паре сцен. Актёр, который должен был его играть, выбыл или его уволили, этого я не знаю. Гай позвонил мне в день начала съёмок. Он знал, что я в Англии, и сказал: «Можешь приехать в Лондон? У меня есть роль, и я хочу, чтобы ты над ней поразмыслил. Её нет в сценарии, но мы всё проработаем по ходу дела. Как тебе такое?» И я подумал, это очень интересный вызов. Я люблю фильмы Гая Ричи, и хотелось посмотреть, что из этого получится. Так я и решился.

По словам Хартнетта, они просто втиснули Дэйва с несколько других сцен и таким образом выстроили его и его взаимоотношения с другими персонажами. Самым забавным в этом процессе актёр посчитал отличность своего героя от остальных — мрачных и заряженных тестостероном. Дэйв уравновешивал их чистую маскулинность своими юмором и лёгкостью. Хартнет назвал это свежим опытом для себя.

Ну а для тех, кто знаком с методами Ричи, в рассказе актёра нет ничего удивительного. Дерзкий британец как раз и знаменит тем, что меняет сценарий и «выращивает» отдельных персонажей по ходу съёмок. Выходит органично и талантливо.

‘Wrath of Man’ Review: Guy Ritchie and Jason Statham Reunite for Impressive Crime Thriller

Ritchie aces this Christopher Nolan-style action thriller, in which a deadly fox (Statham) takes a job inside the henhouse that is a Los Angeles cash-truck company.

When H shows up for work in Guy Ritchie’s “Wrath of Man,” no one at Fortico Security has much reason to suspect he might have any motive other than protecting the cash for the armored-truck outfit. The new guy — who looks an awful lot like the bald bloke from the “Crank” and “Transporter” movies — doesn’t waste words. His backstory checks out, as do his references. He’s a decent shot, but not so good that it would attract attention. Just another guard on an experienced team that recently lost two of its own in a bloody heist.

His first day on the job, however, some jokers try to rob H’s truck, and he can’t help showing them he means business. What could have been a $2.5 million robbery winds up with his co-workers safe, the money secure and half a dozen would-be crooks dead. Not just dead, but plugged so precisely, it’s hard to ignore that H must be some kind of professional — and a hell of a better marksman than his employers took him for.

Ticket buyers will be considerably less surprised than the instant hero’s Fortico colleagues to learn that H has an agenda. That’s because H is played by Jason Statham, reuniting with Ritchie more than two decades after “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels” launched both of their blockbuster movie careers, and it’s not for nothing that these two decided to team up again.

As the pair’s crime-movie collaborations go, this latest project isn’t nearly so flashy as career-high “Snatch” or the whirling, rococo mess that was “Revolver.” While Statham plays off the stoical tough-guy persona he’s developed in the interim, Ritchie settles into the tense but relatively restrained mode of Christopher Nolan — specifically, “The Dark Knight,” easily the most influential action movie since “The Matrix.”

Ritchie’s own RocknRolla-coaster style has plenty of imitators, but here, it’s refreshing to see him calm down and deliver something that’s intricate without being addled. The production adopts an elegant, almost monochromatic color palette, while composer Christopher Benstead’s undeniably Zimmer-esque double-bassy score steadily saws away at our nerves, keeping audiences just this side of a heart attack for the better part of two hours. Like the H character, “Wrath of Man” walks into the room confident and secure in its abilities, professional, efficient and potentially lethal.

All of this is best experienced in a movie theater, if possible.

Though Ritchie and “The Gentlemen” co-writers Marn Davies and Ivan Atkinson have taken considerable liberties along the way, “Wrath of Man” serves as a remake of/improvement upon Nicolas Boukhrief’s 2008 “Cash Truck” (Le Convoyeur), a tight 95-minute thriller little seen outside its native France. The setup is the same, though best left vague, considering the fun that comes in speculating as to H’s motives during the new film’s mysterious first hour: Is he a government agent? A criminal mastermind? Is he planning a heist of his own? Or did he join Fortico to thwart the next one?

The title is a clue, obviously, and in time, Ritchie reveals the reverse angles on that opening strike — a strategic coup, executed with almost military precision, in which a team disguised as construction workers stall the Fortico truck and steal its contents, killing both guards and a couple of civilians in the process. The first time we see the scene, the camera is locked down among the cash bags in the back of the vehicle, and it’s hard to make out what is going on exactly. The robbery might as well be happening to us, the viewers, so terrifying and immediate does it all unfold.

Ritchie will show the heist two more times: first from H’s perspective (as it happens, he’s casing the Fortico headquarters when it occurs), then again from that of the squad that planned it — or more specifically, through the one good eye of the face-scarred renegade member (Scott Eastwood) who did all of the shooting. By this time, it’s more than clear how H relates to everything, as well as what his end goal is, which is more than can be said for the French film that opted for a more elliptical version of the same crime.

H wants revenge. And from the looks of it, he has nothing to lose, which makes him even more dangerous than what the character’s backstory would suggest.

Without divulging his true identity, allow me to tease one detail I don’t think I’ve ever seen in another movie — this one involving yet another cash truck robbery in which H is along for the ride: The van is on a routine call when thieves surround it, forcing the driver (an affable meathead who calls himself “Bullet,” played by Holt McCallany) and H to exit the vehicle. H steps out and … Ritchie cuts to the debriefing scene back at the Fortico depot.

Already the director has established a punchy yet anti-gratuitous style that turns away from (or otherwise minimizes) the moments that might have been most upsetting to witness, leaving much of the violence off-screen. But to omit this particular showdown entirely? Turns out, not a shot was fired. The gang took one look at H’s face and hastily turned around, abandoning the scene of the crime. Not even John Wick has that effect on people. And this comes after the authorities have given him carte blanche. As a high-ranking FBI agent (played by Andy Garcia) puts it, “Let the painter paint.”

Enigmas abound in the clockwork-precise suspense puzzle. While not without plot holes, the mechanism grips as it gradually builds toward a climactic scheme to hit the depot on Black Friday, the biggest cash day of the year — a plan that hinges on an inside man. Or woman. Fortico manager Terry (Eddie Marsan) is suspicious of H, but also raises suspicions of his own. Grudge-minded John (Alex Ferns) controls access to the facility, always nervous Boy Sweat Dave (Josh Hartnett) has an itchy trigger finger, and lone female guard Dana (Niamh Algar) is revealed to have stolen from the company before. Any of them could be in on it.

Rather than merely rehashing Boukhrief’s ideas, Ritchie comes up with striking, original set-pieces, favoring the aforementioned discipline of Nolan’s “The Dark Knight” (and before that, Michael Mann’s “Heat,” which shares this film’s industrial-looking Los Angeles backdrop) over his own more flamboyant M.O. of swooping camera moves and variable film speeds. A few years ago, when Sam Mendes left the Bond franchise, Ritchie’s name was floated as a possible replacement. He didn’t take the gig, but “Wrath of Man” shows that he certainly could have, classing up his signature technique while never quite abandoning the cockney swagger. The approach would have suited the 007 franchise just fine. But who knows — he may have just minted his own instead.

Как «Гнев человеческий» вообще связан с Библией?

Косвенно. Фильм не является дословной экранизацией Библии, но его название (в оригинале — Wrath of Man) отсылает к посланию Иакова, в котором есть строчка: «Ибо гнев человека не творит правды Божией» («For the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God»). Ричи комментирует эту связь так: «Это картина об алчности, крови, тщеславии, о семи смертных грехах, упомянутых в Библии. Во всяком случае, в сюжете вы найдете пять из этих смертных грехов».

Какие же отсылки есть в титрах?

На фоне руки возникает архангел с мечом, который сражается с Сатаной. В Откровении Иоанна Богослова архангел Михаил ведет армию Бога против сил Сатаны, позже, на войне в Раю, он побеждает дьявола.

А на фоне лица Джейсона Стэйтема мы видим иллюстрацию Гюстава Доре «Сатана спускается на землю» к поэме Милтона «Потерянный рай», сделанную в 1866 году. Поэма развивает сюжет из Книги Бытия о грехопадении людей, сотворении мира и рождении Ада. Падший ангел, он же Сатана или Змей — один из главных героев поэмы.

На другой иллюстрации Доре Иаков борется с Богом. В Библии Бог является к Иакову ночью под видом ангела. Требуя благословения, Иаков борется с ним до рассвета и повреждает свое бедро. Бог остается удовлетворен рвением Иакова, благословляет его и дает ему новое имя — Израиль («борющийся с Богом») — с напутствием: «…Ты боролся с Богом, и человеков одолевать будешь».

«Три дерущиеся собаки» и «Две дерущиеся лошади» — офорты нидерландского картографа, гравера и издателя Гендрика Гондиуса I, сделанные в 1610-м.

На этом изображении объединены скелеты из разных произведений. Левый, с барабаном — фрагмент ксилографии Ганса Гольбейна-младшего «Дворянка», а двое танцующих мертвецов справа — гравюра Михаэля Вольгемута «Танец смерти» из «Нюрнбергской хроники Хартмана Шеделя», иллюстрированной хроники библейской истории от сотворения мира.

Работа Франса ван ден Вингерде «Самсон, убивающий льва». В Ветхом Завете силач Самсон был героем, который прославился подвигами в борьбе иудеев с захватчиками-филистимлянами. Однажды по дороге в город на него бросился лев, но Самсон убил его голыми руками.

Английский художник и гравер Сэмюэл Хоуитт специализировался на изображении животных, охоты и лошадиных скачек. Волки над титром композитора Кристофера Бенстеда — фрагменты его работ.

Над именем оператора Алана Стюарта — фрагмент гравюры «Предательство Иисуса Иудой Искариотом».

  В титрах также появляются две иллюстрации Гюстава Доре к «Божественной комедии» Данте Алигьери. На первой, рядом с лицом Джоша Хартнетта, грешников-воров мучают гады. На второй, рядом с титром продюсера и сценариста Айвана Эткинсона, крылатые демоны-загребалы — «бесы с баграми», охраняющие грешников в пятом рву восьмого круга Ада — атакуют Вергилия и Данте (героев, правда, у Ричи не видно).

В последней гравюре Доре в титрах Моисей разбивает скрижали Завета. Позже библейский сюжет можно считать в сцене, где грабители инкассаторов убегают, увидев в машине Эйча, героя Джейсона Стэйтема. Когда Моисей возвращается с неба, получив заповеди, то светится изнутри божественным свечением. Чтобы люди не разбегались от его света, он подносит тряпку к лицу. Когда Эйч выходит из машины к грабителям, то также закрывает лицо тряпкой из-за слезоточивого газа. А когда Эйч отнимает тряпицу от лица, то грабители убегают от него!
